Webinar: Essential counselling skills for teachers

6 August 2019 4:00pm AEST

The 21st century teacher is often placed in a counselling role as a result of the increasing challenges and requests for help from students, colleagues or parents. They are keen to help but can be uncertain how to respond appropriately when confronted with a range of difficult situations.

In this webinar, you will learn the five secrets of effective communication, how to improve your relationships with students, staff and parents, when to refer on to someone more experienced, the importance of self-care and how to recognise your own blind spots.
