Here they will speak about the tools and strategies for helping children outlined in their recently released and highly acclaimed book Anxious Kids.

Attendees will learn:

  • The origins of anxiety and how it impacts on children and teens
  • How to respond constructively when a child or teen is anxious
  • Tools to teach kids to help regulate their anxiety

Racing heart, difficulty breathing, persistent worry, lack of concentration, avoiding difficult situations – this is anxiety, and children are experiencing it in unprecedented numbers. Symptoms of anxiety can start as early as four years old, and it’s impairing children’s ability to enjoy the world.

Anxious Kids, written by Bestselling author Michael Grose and leading researcher and educator Dr Jodi Richardson is the ultimate handbook for coping with your child’s anxiety. Anxious Kids will give you strategies and techniques to help your child manage anxiety. Grose and Richardson also give advice on a range of important steps parents can take to develop emotional intelligence, tolerance of discomfort, mindfulness, resilience, thinking skills and flourishing mental health. In so doing, parents can reduce the impact of anxiety, enabling children of all ages to live their lives in full colour.

“If your child struggles with anxiety, you need this book.”

Russ Harris, author of The Happiness Trap
