Two-on-one time with first borns

Children enjoy having a parent to themselves for a while.

It makes them feel special. It also helps them develop a relationship with each parent.

First born children particularly enjoy spending two-on-one time with their parents.

As they've been displaced by another sibling they love any chance they can get to be the centre of attention with BOTH parents.

So both parents should grab the chance to have a treat or a meal with their edlest child once in a while.

This is an important parenting strategy for first borns!

And it wouldn't hurt doing the same for children in other birth order positions.

For more ideas about how to raise kids in each position check out my book Why First Borns Rule the World and Last Borns Want to Change it.
