Are you hard-wired to put kids first?

Taking time for you is good for your kids.

Your partner will appreciate a fresher you too.

It isn’t hard as you may think.

First work out what’s reasonable You-time for you, your life stage & parent stage. How much can your partner support?

Then ritualise (e.g.every Thursday you do....) the activities you value and use boundaries to protect them.

Keep your partnership strong by sharing the now, recognising your shared past and  planning for a future picture that includes both of you. Daily catch-ups, fortnightly rendez-vous and quarterly nights away together will help make these happen.

The legacy of you-time & partner-time focus is that you teach your kids to live life well.
